The University of Bordeaux in France will devote its 2017 “Innovation Day” on June 28th during Week 26, to sustainability in healthcare. While “sustainability” is often associated to climate and natural resources, sustainability very much applies to health. A sustainable health system can be defined as one that goes on forever with no shortage of resources and no negative impact on the environment. We are also currently collecting the perspective of patients on “sustainability in healthcare” and will present the results during Innovation Day. Please fill in the survey here.
The University of Bordeaux is pleased to invite you to attend an innovation forum on healthcare innovation in (un)sustainable health systems which
will take place in Bordeaux on 28 June.
The full day forum includes a keynote address by Rafael Bengoa (formerly at the Basque country government & WHO), two round-tables chaired by Pr. Geneviève Chêne (university of Bordeaux) and Kristel Van Der Elst (The Global Foresight Group & World Economic Forum) on the future of national health systems and healthcare innovation under constraints respectively, and an innovation showcase. Denise Silber, international eHealth pioneer and event communication specialist, is the Master of Ceremonies.
The speakers are senior executives, academics, changemakers and entrepreneurs from France, the USA, Spain, Belgium, Japan, China… many of whom are rarely seen in France.
This exceptional forum will be available in both English and French. It is aimed at a select audience of opinion leaders, decision makers, experts, public or private professionals, as part of WEEK26: International and Innovation Week.
